Disclosing this in a press statement Friday, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mansir Hassan said on 5 August, 2025, at about 2:00 p.m., operatives from Ikara Division, acting on credible intelligence, stormed Kurmin Kogi village, arresting two suspects, Isah Bello and Sa’idu Haruna of Damdami village, Soba LGA.

The Command spokesman added that further investigation led to the arrest of the suspected receiver of the stolen motorcycles, who is assisting police inquiries, noting that efforts are ongoing to apprehend fleeing gang members.

The PPRO stated that Commissioner of Police Rabiu Muhammad commended the operatives’ gallantry and warned market leaders to guard against trading in stolen goods, vowing to sustain proactive policing in synergy with other security agencies.
