The Kaduna East District Church Council (DCC) has been honoured at the 2026 General Church Council (GCC) of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) for its faithful financial remittances, alongside ten other DCCs.
The event, which took place at the ECWA headquarters in Jos, attracted church leaders and delegates from across the country.
Chairman of Kaduna East DCC, Rev. Dauda Kure received the award on behalf of the DCC from the ECWA President, Rev. Dr. Ayuba Job Bagat Mallam.
A statement issued by the ECWA Public Relations Unit said the recognition was in appreciation of the councils’ consistency and commitment to financial responsibility, a key factor in sustaining the church’s mission and programmes.
Other DCCs honoured include Garki, Fatan-Tanke, Karu, Tangale, Gombe West, Pyakasa, Ungwan Takwa, Uke, Kwassam and Zaria.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Director of Audit, Ibrahim Maren Makut, said “the recognition underscores the church’s commitment to financial accountability and celebrates the dedication of DCCs that have been faithful in financial obligations.”
He commended the honoured DCCs for aligning with the church’s financial prudence policy and urged other DCCs to emulate the awardees.
Makut added that sustained compliance with financial guidelines would further strengthen ECWA’s administrative efficiency and deepen its spiritual impact nationwide.
The awards formed part of activities at the ongoing 2026 General Church Council (GCC) meeting, where the ECWA continues to review its operations and reinforce standards across its structures.
