The Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has accepted Kaduna State’s hosting rights for the 3rd Nigeria Public Relations Week (NPRW) and the 63rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), scheduled to hold in April 2026.
Speaking during a meeting on Sunday with the Governing Council of NIPR at the Government House, Kaduna, Governor Sani commended the Institute for its numerous initiatives, particularly the establishment of the Nigeria Reputation Management Group (NRMG) and the successful bid to host the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) in Nigeria.
In a press release signed by the Institute’s director of public relations, Stanley Ogadigo, the governor described NIPR’s international recognition as a testament to its quality leadership and professionalism, noting that Kaduna State’s selection as host for the 2026 NPRW was an acknowledgment of the state’s ongoing transformation.
He also expressed approval of the 2026 NPRW theme — “Food Security: From Policy Paper to Public Plate; The Imperatives of Public Relations”, promising full government support to ensure a successful and impactful event.
Governor Sani assured that the Kaduna State Government will work closely with NIPR to deliver a programme that leaves lasting positive effects on society and the economy.
In his remarks, NIPR President, Dr. Ike Neliaku, described the 2026 NPRW as a special edition that will serve as a prelude to the 2026 World Public Relations Forum (WPRF). He noted that the event would attract delegates, including international participants, resource persons, and development partners.
Dr. Neliaku further emphasised the immense benefits of the event, stating that “you cannot quantify the reputation capital, financial capital, and professional capital that will emerge from this gathering.”
The 2026 Nigeria Public Relations Week, expected to be the largest assembly of communication and reputation management professionals in the country, is projected to attract over 2,000 participants, which would significantly boost Kaduna State’s economy.
